Job Description:
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is currently searching for school Home Health Aides (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work in a Suffolk County, NY school. School CNA/HHAs provide one to one support services to students under the general supervision of a certified teacher.
Job Details:
- 1:1 assignment in the school
- Monday through Friday
- High School Hours 7:00am-2:00pm
- Middle School Hours 7:30am-2:30pm
- Elementary School Hours 9:00am-3:00pm
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
The role of the school-based CNA/HHA is to assist with daily living activities of one or more students. They help with personal care tasks like dressing, feeding or toileting. Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
- Reinforcing behavior through the use of positive behavior support
- Teaching daily living skills such as independent feeding, dressing, toileting
- Collecting data documenting student behavior for instructional purposes
- Providing language assistance for bilingual students
Qualifications
School CNA/HHA Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in childcare
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- HHA or CNA Certification required
- Good organizational skills
- Good writing skills
