School Paraprofessional - 2024/2025 School Year

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced BOE Paraprofessional to join our team in Uniondale, NY. The ideal candidate should be able to provide assistance to teachers and students in the classroom and carry out assigned duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in the classroom with instruction and other duties as assigned
• Provide support to students with special needs and disabilities
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with students with special needs and disabilities
• Knowledge of classroom procedures and practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work well in a team environment
